City of Tucson Furlough Day, Friday, September 3, 2010:

Garbage and Recycling Collection Services will not be affected by the City of Tucson furlough day on Friday, September 3, 2010. The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) monthly collection event will not be affected and will take place as usual on Saturday, September 4, 2010.

LABOR DAY HOLIDAY SERVICE CHANGES

The Labor Day Holiday will be observed on Monday, September 6, 2010. Residential garbage, recycling, and brush and bulky will not be collected on Monday. City of Tucson residential and commercial customers will have their services delayed by one day. Holiday collection schedules are available online at www.tucsonaz.gov/esd

The Los Reales Landfill will be open its regularly scheduled hours from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Household Hazardous Waste program will not be affected by the holiday.

City offices will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2010; however, customers may leave a message for Environmental Services at 791-3171 or submit a service request at www.tucsonaz.gov/esd and they will be contacted no later than the next business day.
